Our kids spent... read more most of the time swimming in the huge swimming pool or the beaches around. When energy was low we just got back to the unit, enjoyed a good nap with a refreshing AC, a good read on the hamac or some movies/series on the TV.
This was by far the most comfortable place we stayed at in Costa Rica (been here for a month).

the other big issue was the musty smell in the unit. it was very strong and we were worried for our health. the air-conditioners were helpful a little bit but every time you step in you would feel this smell.

El área dentro es muy acogedora el aire acondicionado funciona muy bien y es silencioso. El baño es amplio y muy moderno. Dentro del condominio hay una pizzeria y una heladería ambos ofrecen opciones muy deliciosas. También por la mañana se puede comprar pan fresco en la panadería que abre sólo por las mañanas. Playa Penca está muy cerca, se puede ir caminando o bien en carro. Existe un sendero que te lleva a Playa Prieta desde Playa Penca. Recomendado ir a Puerto Viejo de Conchal, es una playa pública, arenablancs y poco oleaje, entre semana es mejor porque hay menos gente. La pasamos muy bien en la Villa de Scott y esperamos regresar pronto.

The bathroom opens into the bedroom. There will, in June, be a big grocery store named La Murella 2 opening within walking distance of the chalet. There is a grocery cart to transport your groceries from where you leave your car. to your unit. Our particular villa is fully equipped. The bed and the couch are very comfortable. The large pool a wonderful place to spend a few hot hours. There are many beachs around the area. We met many tourists that were also visiting Villageo 3. This was the first-time we holidayed for three months away from home and Scott & Julie's villa was a big part of the success. Because the AC worked well we used mainly the one in the bedroom to cool the whole villa. This trip was phenomenal and we would recommend it to one and all. Pura Vida!!

Scott and Julie left a binder with a lot of great information about their place and about the local things to do and places to eat. Their home is well stocked with essentials like dishes, pots and pans, a wagon for the beach, ice trays, a small cooler, beach towels, some staples like salt and sugar, etc. The beds were extremely comfortable and the air conditioning worked perfectly. We really enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the mornings and evenings. Also, having access to a washer and dryer and on demand hot water was such a treat. Scott and Julie’s place really felt like home. It was hard to leave. We could stayed there another week. Our time went by so fast. Scott and Julie were also very easy to communicate with when we had questions and checked to make sure we were comfortable. We highly recommend staying here!

À partir de Potrero, les plages de Tamarindo, Hermosa et Del Coco sont relativement faciles d'accès en voiture. À proximité, on trouve aussi de belles plages, plusieurs restaurants et plusieurs petits magasins.
Le personnel d'accueil à la porte du villagio s'occupe bien des gens et sont très accueillants.

Playa Penca was a 7 minute... read more walk from the Villa and was one of our favorite beaches. This was our first time in Costa Rica and thanks to our Host Scott, it was our best vacation! We rented an "electric" golf cart during our stay so we had easy access to the different beaches, grocery stores, and shopping centers. We didn't bother renting a car because golf carts are legal on the roads. From our Villa we had easy access by golf cart to Playa Flamingo, Potereo, Playa Penca, Playa Conchos-Shell Beach, and so many others wonderful places. The $49 a day for the golf cart was worth it!!
The Gringo Villa was perfect and Scott is an amazing host!! We hope to rent it again for our future trips!! Thanks so Much!!

The place was warm and inviting and we really enjoyed eating on the covered patio. The restroom was beautiful my husband now wants to remodel ours lol. Everything worked well, the staff was super friendly and very helpful in finding a spot for you to park. The only inconvenience was the long walk to the villa. However, during my long walk, we spotted wildlife which was pretty cool. I saw a skunk, or what I think was a skunk. A lot of butterflies and birds. I also loved all the mango trees one fell on our SUV which was pretty funny. I highly recommend staying at Scott's villa.

But on the bright side it came with anything you could possibly ask for to cook a proper meal or have a day at the beach.
The location was a little inconvenient. It was a 10-15 min walk to any sores which would have been okay if there was a path or side walks to take.
Potrero beach is a far walk from the apartment and not that nice. But if you have a car there’s plenty of beaches near by to check out.
Overall it was a good stay.

The pictures do not do this place justice, and you will feel right at home. I highly recommend Scott's place for a single person, a couple, or a family. Everything you need. And by the time I left, I felt like I had made a new friend just by Scott's friendly texts. I cannot recommend this place enough, we will be back next year.
